How does the Floodie flood sensor work?
When it detects water, Floodie communicates with the orange Flowie water sensor which informs you via email, text message or mobile app notification of the presence of water. You will also be notified when/if the water clears.
What do the different coloured lights on Floodie mean?
After pulling the tab, when the sensor has a good connection with Flowie, it turns green. Red means it doesn’t have a good signal. It turns blue when it comes into contact with water. Most of the time, it is sleeping and has no colour.
Can Floodie work without a Flowie?
No, Floodie is a companion sensor which means it needs to communicate with an orange Alert Labs sensor to send alerts.
Is Floodie waterproof?
Yes, it is designed to be waterproof but works best when placed on the floor to detect water.
How do I know if the batteries still work?
You will receive an alert when the batteries are running out. Visit your Dashboard to see how much battery power remains.
How far away from Flowie can I put a Floodie?
Floodie works at a range of 1000 ft (300 m) or 10 stories.
Why do I need to register my Floodie?
In order to receive alerts you need to register your Floodie on your Dashboard.
