Sumpie Wins New Product of the Year Award at CFAA 2019 Conference

The world’s first predictive sump pump sensor, Sumpie, from Alert Labs was named New Product of the Year at the Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations (CFAA) annual Rental Housing Conference 2019 on Tuesday, May 14 in Toronto, ON.

“We are honored to be recognized by the rental housing community as a solutions-driven company that promotes conservation and sustainability, and helps prevent property damage in the multi-residential sector.”

- CEO and co-founder of Alert Labs, George Tsintzouras

New Product of the Year 2019, Sumpie monitors and analyzes water levels in real-time, and alerts residential and commercial property owners before flooding and water damage occurs.

Alert Labs suite of water sensors, Sumpie, Flowie and Floodie protect properties from leaks and floods, and enable managers to improve operations and reduce costs at their properties.

One of the property management companies to benefit from Alert Labs solutions is Minto Apartments. They have saved over $100,000 in water costs by using insights gained from the Flowie water flow sensor.

“We know that managing priorities and issues at multiple buildings is often challenging. We’ve made it easy for property managers to install our smart water sensors, without tools, and remotely monitor all of their buildings on a single platform. Knowing about issues before they become big problems is critical in a multi-residential building.”

The CFAA National Rental Housing Awards were presented at the 4th annual awards dinner for landlords, suppliers, and landlord associations who are direct or indirect members of the CFAA. The Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations represents owners and managers of close to one million residential rental suites in Canada through 11 associations across the country and direct landlord memberships. The annual Rental Housing Conference addresses investment, tenant relations, property management, facilities management and energy issues. It is an opportunity for the rental and property management communities to acknowledge the people and solutions that continue to shape the Canadian rental industry as economically beneficial for landlords, tenants, and taxpayers.
